Intro

If you have an email account that you check, it is probably safe to say that you have received junk that you didn't want to read or even sort through. What if you were paid for each email that you viewed?

PTR (Paid To Read) or PTC(Paid To Click) sites basically pay you to view ads and in return you get paid. Sounds easy enough right? Well it is. If you can click on a link, you can start earning with a computer and an internet connection. There are no skills required and best of all, anyone, anywhere, 13+ can earn a little extra cash. You won't get rich but you can earn with very little effort and no brain power.

There are hundreds of programs out there, many of which do not pay. Do not be fooled by sites that claim they will pay more than a couple pennies (max) for 30 seconds of your time. Some people can make hundreds/month but even they are earning from programs that pay 1 or 2 cents per ad viewed. Don't dismiss pennies as they can add up very quickly!

Earnings Example You click 10 ads per day = $0.10 20 referrals click 10 ads per day = $2.00 Your daily earnings = $2.10 Your weekly earnings = $14.70 Your monthly earnings = $63.00

Now what if you were a member of 10 programs? That's $630/month ($63 x 10). Not exactly pocket change for a few minutes of your time a day.

If you are ready to start joining sites, try: Old Favorites- These programs have proven themselves time and time again and have been paying for at least 2 years. PTRs with Low Cashout- Any sites listed here have a payout amount $2 or lower. Open Multiple Links- Programs listed here will allow more than 1 ad to be viewed at the same time. This saves time as multiple ads can be open at once. Open to CA/US/UK/AUS- All programs listed here are only available to those members living in Canada, United Kingdom, Australia or United States only. Open To All- Everyone (all countries) welcome to earn with these programs. PTP- The following programs have a ptp option. Points may be converted to cash or advertising (depending on the program).

Tips and Tricks

Don't fail an english test- English tests are one way ptr programs try to keep their sites honest with real people viewing and participating. How do you spot an english test? Just read carefully. You will need to avoid clicking anything like "I am a cheater", "Keep my earnings", "I can't read english" or anything similar. Also don't click banners on the site that say "Don't click here", "Lose your earnings", etc. These are english tests and by clicking them, you could get yourself banned or lose the cash you have in your account. Keep your eyes peeled and you should be fine.

Be/Stay Organized- Keep a notebook with all your info about each site you join. The more organized you are from the beginning, the more time you'll save yourself later. Some things you might want to note about each program you join is : your username/id (you may want to choose the same username for every site) your password (it's best to pick a different password for each site for security purposes) your referral url

Be/Stay Active- If you are active, many sites will send you more emails. Depending on the site, some ptr programs will slow or maybe even stop the amount of emails they send you if you fail to click any links. If you don't have time to click everyday, try clicking at least a link every other day. For most ptr programs, clicking even 1 link will keep the max. amount of emails still rolling in. If you are going on vacation, place your account on "vacation", usually located in your profile section of the site.

Programs With Activity Requirements- Some sites may delete your membership if you haven't logged into your account in 30 days, while others may not allow you to earn your full referral commission if you do not meet their activity level (eg: DonkeyMails requires that you click 10% of the emails you receive if you want to collect earnings from your referrals). This is usually found on the main page of the site but if not, you can always contact the WM.

Don't overwhelm your email account or yourself- Your email account may become overloaded with emails depending on the programs you join (some sites may send you 10 emails daily while others may send 40). In your profile section of most sites, it will give you a choice of where you'd like to receive the emails they send to you. Choose "site inbox" to drastically reduce the amount of emails you get to your email address. Just make a note or even add the sites you join to your favorites so they are at your fingertips whenever you have time to check so you don't forget.

Multiple sources of income- Would you rather have income coming in from 1 place or 5 places? I'd rather 5, no hesitations there. How about 10 instead of 5? Don't limit yourself by joining just a site or two. If you have limited time, choose your programs wisely. Maybe even try programs that allow you to open multiple links at one time (here).

Partner/Sister Sites- In the PTR world, sites are popping up all the time and some sites go under or are gone without notice. If I find a site run by a reliable WM, it's pretty likely that they are paying the members of their other sites as well, so why not signup? Joining multiple sites run by the same great reliable webmaster adds another great income source.

Don't put all your eggs in one basket- If you are only going to join a couple sites, try joining sites run by a couple different WMs. That way, if a WM has difficulties and closes their sites, you wouldn't be as greatly affected. If you join only sites run by 1 WM and that WM decides to close their sites, you will be starting from scratch.

Getting Started

Things that will come in handy :

♥An email address: Get a free one at hotmail or gmail or any other place and use it just for these types of programs. This way everything stays more organized.

♥A paypal account (if you don't already have one): This is how most companies will pay and a reliable and secure way to receive your online earnings.

♥A Notepad(or Excel spreadsheet): To record each program you join along with your username, your password, your ref link, etc.

When you are ready to start joining sites, make sure you don't fail an english test when creating your account. If here is an "interests" section, do not check boxes like "I am a cheater", "I cannot read english", "Lose all your earnings". It is common sense really. Don't get your account banned before you even start earning. Make sure you also check your email inbox and junk mail as some sites will require you click a confirmation link in their email.
